Bear Naked Adventures LLC was our first collaborative microenterprise project.  We partnered with students from Newport High School to launch a student-run sit-on-top kayak rental business on the spectacular Pend Oreille River in Northeastern Washington.  Customers launch the brand new kayaks from the City of Oldtown/Rotary Gateway Park and paddle down stream on full or half day adventures to a pre-arranged pick up location where they are picked up and transported back to the launch site.  There is nothing better than a relaxing day on the river, with opportunities to view and photograph a broad variety of birds and wildlife, including moose, elk, deer, bald eagles, herons, Canada geese, osprey, migratory pelicans, etc.  Recreational paddling has never been so easy or stress free!  Opening was delayed due to unusual Pend Oreille River flooding but they finally were able to open for business on Tuesday, July 19th, 2011 - see you on the river!
